Limestone & Travertine are both widely used in bathrooms and for flooring, they comes in a variety of finishes including polished, honed and antiqued.
Limestone is a beautiful sedimentary rock composed mainly of calcium carbonate and often containing fossils although usually light coloured limestone can take on a variety of colours due to organic pigments occurring naturally in the stone.
Travertine, is also composed mainly of calcium carbonate and created by shifts in the earths crust which allows steam under pressure to mix with dissolved limestone. The gasses trapped within the sediment create the holes in travertine.
